Unisoap – a beautiful gesture

It may not have occurred to you that leaving your barely used bar of soap in the hotel bathroom can be a truly considerate and beautiful ecological gesture. However, thanks to our association with Unisoap, every bar of soap left at the Platine Hotel is just that.
Unisoap's commitment
The approach of Unisoap, a French association based in Lyon and Dubai, is both ecological and social. Its creators came up with the idea of recovering the soaps left in hotel rooms, recycling them into ESAT - establishments employing workers with disabilities - and distributing them in emerging countries via charities and missions working there. It’s also a step forward in hygiene awareness since the simple act of washing one's hands can reduce the transmission or risk of disease and ultimately save lives.
Shared values
The Platine Hotel has always embraced the values it shares with Unisoap, so it was a natural step for us to take this unique approach. We avoid the messy business of recovering unused soaps and give work to those most in need via ESAT. And, the entire hotel team is delighted to participate in hygiene training missions.
